Objectives
The MA Fine Art programme provides subject-specific teaching, alongside a critical lecture series within an intellectually-supportive environment The programme aims to help you in developing and realising your concepts and ideas as an artist You will be provided with your own designated studio space, and every semester you get the chance to experience a number of field trips and gallery visits On completion, your work will be exhibited and publicised in a stand-alone exhibition Fine Art and Photography is home to some of the most dynamic and research-active staff in the School - including a number of artists and writers with international research profiles and a wide range of professional experience, providing the core strength of our new MA

You should have an appropriate Honours degree in an art and design-related subject Or a combination of relevant professional experience and formal qualifications

Future prospects
There is extensive potential for self-employment as an artist, in areas as diverse as public and community art, environmental art, gallery exhibitions and curating
You could find employment in the visual arts in one of the creative industries in the private sector, or in the public sector
You will be equipped to take up positions in a wide range of sectors requiring research and presentation skills, team working, the exercise of initiative and personal responsibility; and decision-making in complex and unpredictable situations
