Summary
- The brand new MA in Drama and Performance is aimed at performance practitioners or those working in drama-related fields. It is also relevant for those who intend to enter these fields of employment. Furthermore, it will be of interest to those using drama/theatre/performance in community practice, and/or who are practising drama/theatre/performance professionals
- The course will include methodologies for research, the ethics of performance practice, the relationship between performance-making and specific spaces/venues/locations and critical contexts
- In order to reflect the growing mode of research work within performance-related subjects in academia, this course provides a valuable opportunity to relate your own activities to current research practice, in a structured, supportive and academically-rigorous environment
- The course is suitable for full or part-time teachers and Further Education (FE) lecturers or secondary school teachers who want to undertake a Masters qualification to achieve career progression. The MA would also support those wishing to enter or progress in FE lecturing, as well as those wishing to enter Higher Education lecturing, work as freelance artists, or as visiting professionals in HE or FE
