  • Entry requirements Entry requirements At least 2:1 honours degree, or overseas equivalent. If you have a lower class of degree plus relevant professional experience or other relevant qualifications, please contact the School's graduate admissions tutor or distance learning admissions tutor, as appropriate. Our standard English requirements for overseas students are: IELTS 7.0 (with no less than 6 in each component) TOEFL 600 (paper test) or TOEFL 250 (computer test) with 5.0 in TWE.

    -Two modules of Korean language at introductory, intermediate or advanced level depending on the student’s knowledge (including study of Hanmun at intermediate and advanced level)
    -History of Korea
    -Contemporary Korean society
    -Selection of Korean studies modules in literature, business and culture
    -Selection of East Asian studies modules in economics, security studies, religion and philosophy

    Dissertation.
    -Teaching
    -Small group teaching.

    Assessment
    Essay, examination, presentation, continuous assessment.
