Objectives
The MA in Clinical Education is a multiprofessional, modular course which aims to improve teaching skills and develop understanding of how individuals learn in a clinical environment.

Entry requirements
The programme is designed for health professionals (medical doctors, dentists and allied health professionals) involved in teaching, supporting the learning of staff or students, and assessing or evaluating teaching as part of their current or planned role.

Course description
What will I study?
To exit the programme with a Postgraduate Diploma, you need to complete a core module in Research and Clinical Education, then two further modules from a choice of:
* Curriculum Design
* Practice-Based Action Research
* Mentoring in Clinical Education
* Designing and Tutoring E-learning Opportunities
Each module carries 20 credits at level 7.
For the MA, as well as completing three modules, you are also required to write a 60 credit (level 7) dissertation.
How will I study?
This is a distance learning course and the material is delivered online. You will be supported by a personal tutor throughout the programme, with optional face-to-face sessions complementing contact via email and discussion boards.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through online tasks, a reflective statement and the submission of written assignments (1500 to 3000 words), portfolios and/or a dissertation.
