Course descriptionThis programme explores the inter-relationship between International Public Law and International Diplomacy. It caters for the needs of those who seek to follow careers in public international legal practice and/or diplomacy.
Students will learn about intra-site dispute resolution in respect of a diverse range of activities, including war and peace, human rights, boundary disputes and environmental responsibilities to common humanity.

* European Human Rights Law
* Globalisation
* Arbitration
* Research Methods
* Dissertation
Plus two optional modules from other LLM programmes.
How To Study
The course will be studied using a combination of lectures, workshops, tutorials and self-directed learning. The dissertation will require extensive research and innovative thinking by the student. It is proposed this programme be offered both full-time and part-time.
Full-time attendance will start in September of the academic year and will involve studying all six taught modules, together with completion of the dissertation (due in the September of the following year). Part-time attendance will be over either a two-year or three-year programme of study. Students undertaking the programme over two years will complete the six modules in Year One, with the dissertation due in the following year. Students who undertake the programme over three years will complete three modules in Year One, three modules in Year Two with the dissertation due in Year Three.
Career prospects
The discipline of law and the knowledge and skills gained present students with a number of different career paths. These include legal practice and public service. This tracked Masters will enable students to choose from a range of modules suited to their particular career path.
