LLM Master of Laws

  • Objectives Kingston’s LLM Master of Laws programme comprises five courses designed to enable you to increase your knowledge in a particular area of law, broaden your experience, improve your practising options and enhance your career. You can choose to specialise in business law, dispute resolution, employment law or international commercial law, or you can take a broader approach and tailor your course to your specifications by choosing from an extensive list of modules.

  • Course description The LLM courses are accredited by both the Law Society and the Institute of Legal Executives for CPD purposes. Successful completion of the LLM in Dispute Resolution entitles you to membership, or fellowship on passing an additional examination, of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

    What will you study?
    Each named LLM pathway comprises five core modules specific to the subject area, a research theory module and three option modules chosen from an extensive list – see below for details.

    On successful completion of the LLM you will have acquired significant research and analytical skills in your area of law, substantially enhancing your prospects of employment.
