Entry requirements
The programme provides a route to a higher qualification for students who have completed the LPC but have been unable to secure a training contract and want to make their CV more attractive to potential employers. It is also suitable for students in training contracts or even those who have qualified as solicitors who wish to develop their knowledge and skills by undertaking research in an area of legal practice relevant to their work.

Programme
Module 1 - Practical Legal Research
This comprises a 6 hour seminar on Research Methods and three assessed pieces of work; a Practical Legal Research assessment, a Literature Review and a Project Proposal.
Module 2 - Project
A practical research based project in an area relevant to the subject area studied in the student's Literature Review.
Module 1 is assessed by coursework and Module 2 by the research project
