LLB Law with Spanish

Objectives
Law influences us all every day. Whether you're buying a ticket, downloading something from the internet, or using a mobile phone, law governs and encompasses your everyday life. Our programmes aim to develop your understanding of the fundamental principles of law in 21st century society - not only what has gone before to make the law how it is, but how the law reacts to the real world right now. We're interested in what you think, and how you consider the law ought to react. Law is also concerned with communication and your skills in this area are an essential part of your legal education. Mooting is encouraged at Sheffield, and our students enter national competitions, having even represented England at an international law moot court. Do you have Spanish language skills that you would like to continue and develop whilst gaining a qualifying law degree? If so, this four-year LLB programme is for you - combining a qualifying law degree with the continued development of your existing language skills. The third year is spent abroad in the Law Faculty of a linked Spanish University, in preparation for which we teach you the legal terminology you will need and help you develop your awareness of the Spanish legal system. When you return to Sheffield to complete your degree you'll have gained specialist knowledge and widened your appeal as a lawyer.
