Objectives
The course can be taken either as a qualifying law degree (providing exemption from the academic stage of professional legal training), or a non-qualifying degree (opening up a range of careers outside the legal profession). We aim to provide detailed knowledge and understanding of legal rules and their contexts, and to develop employability skills to prepare you for a range of careers. You will also gain experience in practical legal research and problem-solving. We have one of the biggest law schools in the country, which enables us to offer a wide range of optional modules.

Entry requirements
You should have at least 280 points, including 200 points from two or more A-levels. English Language GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent) is also required. These requirements may be varied in individual cases. Applications are welcome from mature students with appropriate Access/preparatory courses or appropriate work experience. We also welcome mature students without formal qualifications who are able to demonstrate enthusiasm, commitment, and the ability to benefit from higher education.
