LLB Entertainment Law
-
Course description
We offer a range of Qualifying Law Degrees (QLDs) which give you the option to specialise in a specific area of law, including business, entertainment and taxation, each of which lead to challenging and exciting career opportunities.
Why study Law at BU?
Our unique range of QLDs are one of only a very few in the UK to incorporate a full one year placement in industry.
You will embark on your career with the advantage of work experience (which could also count against the time you spend as a trainee Solicitor) and the edge that you gain as a candidate who offers more than the standard legal training.
Specialise in Entertainment Law
Like all our LLBs, LLB (Hons) Entertainment Law is a Qualifying Law Degree.
Twenty years ago, the Financial Times shares index did not include a ‘Media’ section but today the industry has become central to commercial activity. Complex legal provisions cover these industries and intellectual property rights are highly priced strategic assets. As such, successful companies in the fast-paced world of media increasingly rely on:
* lawyers who understand the strategic challenges of media companies
* managers who are able to grasp central concepts of intellectual property law and media regulation
* policy-makers to face tough regulatory questions regarding piracy, privacy and access to communication channels and culture
This course recognises that as well as solicitors, there is a growing demand for graduates with niche expertise, knowledge and skills in the fields of intellectual property rights and media regulation.
Flexbility
If you decide that you would like to spcialist in a different area of law, its not too late - we have designed our degrees to allow you to choose after your first year.
