International Politics - IPE Pathway (Standard Route) MA

  • Entry requirements The programme is designed for students who plan to pursue non-academic or research careers in international business, government, regional and international organisations, non-governmental bodies, among others. It will appeal particularly to those with a broad interest in the politics of globalisation as well as developments in particular states, regions, international organisations, and problems such as regulatory reform, development, international crises, and the like.

    Course description

    This programme explores the foundations of the rapidly developing discipline of International Political Economy.  Through two compulsory course units it first looks at the major approaches to the field and then applies these to key topics linking international, transnational and global levels. Issues include finance, multinational corporations, international organisation, global governance, transnational civil society as well as regional, national and sub-national perspectives from around the world.
