University of Salford, School of Computing, Science & Engineering
Información
The School of Computing, Science and Engineering is a modern department within a traditional university. You can choose from a broad range of computing, science and engineering degrees covering everything from Acoustics to Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Science to Civil Engineering, Physics to Pilot Studies, and Space Technology to Software Engineering .... for a full listing, see the undergraduate and postgraduate course pages.
We have excellent links with industry: you will have the opportunity to spend a year on placement as part of your degree, and over 90% of our students have found employment or gone on to further study within twelve months of graduation — 100% in the case of our Acoustics and Civil Engineering graduates, according to the most recent survey. You could end up working for Airbus, IBM, Mouchel Parkman or Bang & Olufsen, like some of our previous graduates.
We're based at the heart of an attractive greenfield city campus in the centre of Salford, about a mile and a half from Manchester city centre, where you can enjoy the culture and nightlife you'd expect to find in a multicultural cosmopolitan city with a large student population. Transport connections are good locally, nationally and internationally: buses into town run frequently; we're close to the motorway network; and Manchester International Airport is just ten miles away - with direct trains from Salford Crescent, the on-campus railway station.
As well as offering a great range of degrees and research opportunities, pleasant surroundings, and modern facilities (we've just spent £4million upgrading our acoustics, audio and video facilities), Salford is a supportive, friendly environment with approachable staff, and plenty of activities and clubs for you to enjoy in your free time.
Why not browse through the website then get in touch — send an email or come along to one of our open days; we'd love the chance to show you what Salford has to offer.
