Information Management and Technology MSc/PgDip/PgCert
ObjectivesSuitable for those seeking to master the disciplines of both business and technology. Effective information management and information systems, used to deliver the right information to the right people at the right time, are key to success in most organisations. This course is suitable for people who will be involved with this in various capacities including strategic planning, development, implementation, use and management of information communication technologies to deliver benefit to an organisation through the strategic use of information. Takes you on to become one of the next generation of senior managers who can master the disciplines of both business and technology. You will be taught by Cranfield University academic staff at the Defence Academy - College of Management and Technology who understand the challenges of translating theory into practice. The defence-specific content will be delivered by military staff from the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom. Visiting lecturers include experts from industry, research establishments and Government departments, particularly the MOD.
Entry requirementsNormally a 1st or 2nd class Honours degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline. Alternatively, a lesser qualification with relevant professional experience may be acceptable. Students whose first language is not English must attain an IELTS score of 7.
Course descriptionThe Information Management and Technology programme aims to provide differentiated courses of postgraduate education in the principles, practice and technology that underlie, at an operational level, the delivery of effective organisational information systems. The course is structured both as a full-time course, and as a part-time distance learning programme, with exit points at PgCert, PgDip and MSc.
