Academic titleIndustrial Automation, BEng Hons
Course descriptionAutomation has been a key to ensuring that the productivity of a manufacturer remains at its optimum and, as a discipline, today pushes the boundaries of what was traditionally an application within mechanical engineering.
This programme shares the first two years with the BEng Hons Mechanical Engineering degree, with the final year reflecting the multidisciplinary focus of the degree with courses in Industrial Robotics and Advanced Control and Instrumentation, together with an automation-focused project.
The specialisms developed in this programme look at the technologies associated with the automation process applied equally to the traditional manufacturing industries as well as to the process industries.
