Entry requirementsYou will need Level 1 Community Sports Leaders Award (CSLA) or equivalent plus work experience within the sports industry. You must be enthusiastic, energetic and show an interest in all fitness disciplines. Good basic literacy skills are needed to be successful on the course and a good level of personal fitness is essential.

This course is ideal for those who are seeking a recognised qualification as a sports leader delivering sports and activities in the community. It offers a natural progression route for individuals who have successfully completed the Community Sports Leaders Award (CSLA). You will need to be enthusiastic and willing to develop new skills and techniques to encourage sports and fitness in the community. Course takes place at the Tottenham Centre plus local community centres.
How is the course taught
Taught in the fitness centre and college gym.
Assessment
You will be assessed by your tutor using a log book plus record of voluntary work.
Course leads to BTEC or CYQ routes in sports or fitness instructing. You could gain employment as a sports leader in sports or leisure centres.
