Exceptionally, applicants who do not satisfy the requirements may be admitted if they can provide evidence of their ability to undertake the programme through the accreditation of prior experiential learning.

Course descriptionThis course provides an opportunity for graduates with non-relevant degrees to pursue an intensive course of study in accounting and accounting related modules.
The course has been designed on a modular basis and you are expected to successfully complete nine modules for the award of the Graduate Diploma in Accounting. Core modules include: Financial Accounting; Principles and Practices of Management Accounting; Economic Environment; Law; Taxation; Business Information Systems; Regulatory Framework of Accounting; and Financial Management. Optional modules include Audit and Internal Review; Organisation and Management; and Business Strategy.
Professional Recognition
Suitable choices of modules taken may lead to exemption from the nine fundamental examinations of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants; some of the Managerial level examinations of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, or the CA Proficiency 1 (CAP1) examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
Duration and Mode of Attendance
Two semesters of full-time study, beginning in late September.
