Entry requirementsEntry requirements This course is for you if • you hold a qualification not classed as equivalent to a UK undergraduate degree • your undergraduate grades are lower than the minimum needed for direct entry on to a masters course and • your English skill is less than IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL paper-based 550, or computer-based 213, or internet-based 79 as these are the minimum standard needed for entry on to postgraduate courses in Business and Finance. However, you must still reach the minimum entry requirements shown below. Minimum entry requirements – one of the following • English Language – IELTS 4.5 or TOEFL 475 Plus either • three year Diploma in a relevant subject or • two year Diploma (or equivalent) with relevant work experience • applications are also welcome from students with 5 years professional experience

Course descriptionThe Graduate Diploma in Business and English is a pre-Masters course, designed for international students (non-native speakers of English) intending to pursue postgraduate studies in business, management, finance or related studies.
It provides you with the opportunity to improve your English language proficiency and business knowledge to a level which will allow you entry onto selected postgraduate courses offered within Sheffield Hallam University and other academic institutions.
The course provides an equal balance of English language development and knowledge of business, management and finance.
