Graduate Diploma Adult Nursing

  • Objectives Within adult nursing the focus is always on the individual and not simply his / her illness or condition and its cure. Nursing involves working with a diverse range of people and addressing the needs and anxieties a condition may generate, including the pressures on family and friends. It also involves caring for people who have acute and long term illnesses from the elderly through to those in the younger age groups. Adult nurses utilise knowledge not only from the science of nursing but also from the art of nursing which incorporates psychological, social, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs and factors related to age and gender.
  • Entry requirements Entry requirements: Applicants must have an honours degree in a relevant discipline (such as biology, psychology, sociology). Evidence of numeracy is required, from Maths GCSE, an approved key skills or numeracy module, or equivalent.
