An intensive programme of study, structured to enable you to further develop both your design and making skills in glass and to prepare you for application to higher level study.
What does the course involve?
The emphasis will be on exploring your creativity and gaining a deeper understanding of materials, techniques and processes, making architectural and kiln formed glass work.
Visual research and the development of ideas are an important element of the course. You will be required to keep sketch books and technical notes. There will be an opportunity for students to exhibit their work at our end of the year shows.
What are the facilities and equipment like?
Our workshop is well equipped with the necessary specialist tools and equipment.
How much should I study outside class?
You will be expected to carry out some independent research and design development at home and visit museums and galleries in your own time.
What books and equipment do I need?
You will need to provide your own protective clothing, files and sketchbooks. We stock basic materials which you can buy at cost price as required.
