    Content details
    This course will enable you to acquire the skills for employment or further and higher education study in the rapidly expanding industry of games design and development. You will study 3D modelling, animation, motion graphics, sound and video. You will be able to produce games from idea to final product. This can be for mobile technologies, interactive TV, the web, PCs and of course for consoles such as the Xbox or Playstation. You will develop your drawing skills and build by creating characters, storyboards and marketing. In your second year you will develop your skills in the industry by working on 'live' projects and employer links. You will concentrate on building your CV and career options while preparing to move into university.

    How is the course taught
    Practical skills in computer platforms, games design, 3D animation, modelling and environments. Lecturers, presentations and seminars about the industry and technical attributes.

    Assessment
    Practical presentation, games products, portfolio, assignments, presentations.

    Course leads to
    You will be able to progress on to a university degree. You could gain employment in the games industry.
