Entry requirementsEntry requirements The entry qualifications are more flexible than those required to enter a BSc honours degree programme and are listed below: 1 A level in an appropriate Science subject, together with at least 5 GCSE passes at grades A*-C, to include English and Mathematics. A relevant BTEC (Edexcel) National Diploma, with at least 3 level three units passed at Merit level or above, or equivalent SCOTVEC qualifications. Vocational qualifications equivalent to the above, eg NVQ Level 3 Successful completion of a recognised Access programme Applicants aged 21 or over without traditional entry qualifications by interview Other applicants without formal entry qualifications but with appropriate life/and or work experiences.

This programme is designed to facilitate the progression of individuals working in hospital pathology laboratories and related disciplines. It is anticipated that students will achieve this qualification after 2 years of part-time study. Credits are awarded for activities carried out at the work place as well as at the College.
