Course descriptionStudents develop fine art skills across a broad range of media, taught through tutorials, practical projects, seminars and group work. The programme aims to prepare students for a professional career within the fine arts sector or to continue with their studies to degree level.
Students are encouraged to take part in work placements and are given the opportunity to arrange and curate at least two group exhibitions.

Specialist equipment / facilities
Industry-standard, fully equipped Apple Macintosh multimedia design studio with appropriate software, printers and scanners. Plus a range of specialist facilities for sculpture, ceramics and painting, as well as a well-equipped print room and photography studio

Written assignments, presentations and group and individual practical work
Career options
Employment as a professional practicing fine artist, working in a range of sectors and industries, such as design, media, teaching. The majority of people working in the fine arts are self-employed and this programme aims to prepare students for the business environment. Students could also progress to a top up degree to obtain a Bachelor qualification
