  • Entry requirements 1st or 2nd class UK Honours degree, or equivalent, in a quantitative discipline. A high level of numeracy is an important consideration for admission and transcripts may be requested. IELTS band 6.5 or TOEFL 92+ Internet, 237 computer or 580 paper if English is not the first language. GMAT (550 minimum) may be required.

    Takes you on to employment opportunities in major investment banks, investment management, financial consultancy, corporate finance or financial research.

    You will be taught by a faculty with an international reputation for teaching and research in finance and management, including high-level practitioners. The programme benefits from an active advisory panel of senior executives from leading investment banks and other financial firms, and the possibility of student internships as part of the degree for carrying out thesis work in some of the top financial institutions.
    Course description

    Our Finance and Management MSc course provides students with:

    We also provide students with remote access to the latest international databases of financial and market information and the specialist statistical and database tools required to conduct their own analyses and research. In addition to the course’s own portal where the students can build their own CV for recruiters, the whole range of electronic services provided by the School's Management Information and Resource Centre is available to students online.
    Modules:

    Students take a set of seven compulsory finance modules covering the key areas of finance in some depth. These are accompanied by a set of compulsory management modules: accounting, economics, marketing, organisational behaviour and personal development and strategic management, as well as a choice of four finance electives from a broad menu of specialist modules.
