FdA Marketing

  • Objectives This Foundation Degree in Marketing will provide students with the advanced marketing knowledge, skills and capabilities that local employers are looking for.The FdA Marketing has a vocationally related structure that will provide students with an understanding of the underpinning marketing theory and importantly an understanding of how best to apply this theoretical understanding in the workplace.
  • Entry requirements For 2011 entry: 120 points
  • Course description The FdA Marketing is ideally suited to a range of different student backgrounds: Students who want a higher education qualification; mature students wanting to improve their career prospects; or those who have followed a purely vocational qualification from school and who want to gain a deeper theoretical understanding of marketing.

    The marketing profession and the organisations and industries that it serves require a wide range of professional marketing knowledge and skills. Employers are looking for marketing strategists and planners who can bring medium and longer-term perspectives to the different specialisms across the range of marketing functions. These skills are core to the proposition of being a marketing professional.

    Students on this programme will be given the opportunity to develop skills appropriate to academic and professional career development in marketing while allowing for personal, creative and intellectual development.
