Entry requirementsEntry Requirements A first degree at 2.1 or above. In exceptional cases we will interview students with 2.2 degrees. All students will be interviewed and cannot be offered a place unless we have a suitable specialist supervisor available. A 500-word statement of your chosen research topic should be submitted with the application form

To help prepare them for intensive research, students take two taught courses. Students then prepare a 25,000-word dissertation on a topic chosen in consultation with a personal supervisor with expertise in the field who provides guidance and support.
