Course descriptionCOURSE INFORMATION
Why study Embedded Computer Systems Engineering?
# It's open to both Electronics and Computing graduates.
# Addresses best practice in both software and electronics technologies for Embedded Systems development.
# Develops applicable skills in demand by the embedded systems industry.
# Significant practical course content to develop useful skills in addition to academic knowledge.
COURSEWORK AND ASSESSMENT
All modules include a significant practical element in which students can develop skills in systems development using modern software and hardware techniques. Modules are assessed either by examination or in-course assignment and may involve team-work.
CAREERS
Graduates from the programme will be equipped with the latest software and hardware expertise for embedded systems development and may take up a variety of careers in the embedded systems industry. Both software and hardware specialists are required to develop embedded systems. Some engineers will work in both hardware and software, others will specialise on one or other and operate within a disciplinary team. The embedded systems market is growing rapidly and there is currently a considerable shortage of suitably qualified engineers.
