Candidates aiming to achieve the award at Level 3 must provide sufficient on-site evidence and complete 2330 technical certificates Level 2 and Level 3. Assessors will assess candidates level of competence from their respective place of work. This assessment process is completely separate from the electrical installation core knowledge course. Assessment takes place at CONEL Tottenham Centre and on-site assessment placement/company, students will also be required to undertake a 2 day assessment at an AM2 Centre.
Assessment
Work base assessments, and portfolio assessed by assessor(s). The process of assessing evidence from the work place can take place within the same year as Electrical Installation Level 3.
Course leads to
Under JIB standards this qualification will grade you as an 'Approved Electrician'. Should you wish to continue your studies you should complete either the City & Guild Electrotechnology Design course or BTEC National Certificate in Electrical/Electronics or Building Service, which is a Level 4 qualification
Employers Benefit
Assessor will visit candidates work placement and assess the detailed work being completed by the candidate. Candidates will be expected to complete a portfolio of evidence and achieve the AM2, which is an external assessment that takes place at a specialised centre.
