ObjectivesThis programme is designed to prepare students for a career as a professional electrical and electronic engineer, with the focus on innovation, analysis and development within a wide range of advanced engineering technologies.
Entry requirementsEntry requirements 240 UCAS points. This must include mathematics at A-level and preferably a science/technology subject, or National Diploma in engineering at MMM including mathematics, or equivalent qualifications; 3 GCSEs at grade C or above (including English, mathematics and science) or equivalent
Academic titleElectrical and Electronic Engineering, BEng Hons
Course descriptionThe use of microcomputers and personal computers is important in engineering systems. The programme gives students an understanding of computer hardware and software, enabling students to design and use a wide range of systems. The use of computer-based analysis and computer-aided design means that the design process, rather than a purely analytical approach, is emphasised.
