    Technology and the ways we communicate and do business are constantly changing. This course aims to provide you with the necessary business and analytical skills to compete in an emerging global virtual business environment.

    This MSc programme is designed to give you a leading edge insight into this fascinating and rapidly changing world. You will leave the course with an enhanced understanding of e-business ideas and a range of practical skills designed to enable you to apply those ideas successfully in a business context.

    The course is part of a suite built round e-business ideas and disciplines which also includes:

    -MSc e-Governance

    -MSc e-Learning and Innovation Management

    This is an innovative business management programme which makes use of the Blackboard virtual learning environment for the delivery of online material. The programme will be of interest to both students who are working in the emerging electronic business environment and also those who have a more academic interest in its associated developments. The course does not assume technical knowledge or ability, as this is developed as part of the course of study.

    Modules are carefully designed to enable you to contribute to and manage entrepreneurial business decisions relating to e-business and organisational success.

    Term 3

    Dissertation

    You will have the opportunity to gain first hand experience of research in the field through your dissertation. This is an extended piece of research which allows you to pursue an area of interest in depth. You will be allocated your own personal supervisor who will offer guidance and advice to ensure successful completion of this part of the programme.

    Teaching and Assessment

    The course is taught using a mixture of block and weekly seminars. We provide a wide range of information sources and taught material, and encourage you to discuss and develop these in class and in your own time.

    We teach technical topics allowing for a range of background knowledge and integrate assessments with teaching. All modules on this course are assessed by one assignment. Assignments vary and can be based on essays or portfolios, and you will complete a range of tasks often involving practical elements and reports.
