  • Objectives * To increase knowledge of the development of western theatre from the Greeks to the present day * To develop a range of practical skills, including acting, technical theatre and playwriting * To increase intellectual understanding of the role of drama within society, as well as practical awareness of how drama can work in a wide range of social areas * To develop transferable skills, including presentation and articulation, data analysis, research, bibliographic construction, word processing, project management, and community liaison
  • Entry requirements Entry requirements 160 UCAS points, of which 60 must be in drama or related studies. There will be an interview/audition for the single honours programme

  • Course description Drama at Greenwich is a vibrant programme that looks at drama through both theory and practice and engages with the community through our annual festival, community projects and drama in education. Students have the opportunity to acquire performance, technical and writing skills, and throughout the programme engage in theatre-making as writers, technicians, directors and performers.

    Courses range widely from those that study dramatic literature and history to those that engage with specific performance skills such as playwriting and devising. Drama enhances vital skills of communication, self-discipline, research and creative teamwork – all increasingly valued by employers in a wide range of graduate employment.
