ObjectivesTo offer knowledge and expertise to dentists who would like to study for a postgraduate qualification, but who are unable to afford either the expense or the time for a conventional full or part-time course. Also for those who live in the rural areas of Wales with limited access to study facilities.

This course is suitable for qualified general dental practitioners. Applicants should possess a UK Dentistry Degree or recognised equivalent.
Course descriptionCourse Description:
A series of distance learning modular courses chosen from a broad list of topics on various specialities in dentistry. Teaching material consists of a written workbook, course texts, guided reading, home-based exercises and attendance at a study day.
A maximum of 2 15-credit modules may be taken each year. Six courses and an Elective Project must be completed within 6 years.
Each course consists of the following elements:
-5 written modules – workbooks sent to participants every other month.
-A practical ‘home-based exercise’ for participants to return for assessment.
-A ‘hands-on’ study day in a Postgraduate Centre in Wales at the end of the course.
