You will be required to undertake three compulsory course units: Criminal Justice Research and Policy; Advanced Theoretical Criminology; and Researching Social Issues: an Introduction. These compulsory course units amount to a total of 45 credits. A further 75 credits must be selected from a list of optional course units.

Course units available in any given year will not be confirmed until perhaps May or June preceding the start of the academic year. However, the MA in Crime, Law & Society will typically offer optional course units in Criminological & Legal Psychology; Measures & Correlates of Crime; Evaluating Policy & Practice; Criminal Justice Sanctions and their Management; Financial Crime; Surveillance & Crime; and Qualitative Research Methods (among other Criminological/Socio-Legal optional course units).
