Academic titleVTCT Level 3 Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology (D1060)
Course descriptionThis Anatomy & Physiology course will provide you with all the essential theory knowledge of the human body needed to perform Body and Beauty Therapy treatments safely and effectively. The course covers all the major systems of the human body: Skeletal, Muscular, Digestive, Urinary, Endocrine, Lymphatic, Nervous, Cardiovascular and Respiratory. You will be set short written papers during the two weeks to check your learning progress for each system of the body, and at the end of the course you will sit a final paper covering all aspects of the knowledge. All papers count towards your Diploma, therefore you need to pass each paper eventually (you may make more than one attempt at each).
This is a very intensive course with lots of information to absorb, so you will need to be very disciplined to study at home after your classes. You will be required to learn things 'by heart' as well as understand enough to be able to give detailed responses in the written paper. You will be required to draw basic antomical diagrams (e.g. of the heart, or a cell) as well as labelling pre-printed diagrams.
THIS IS AN INTENSIVE COURSE. IN ORDER TO PASS, YOU WILL NEED TO STUDY HARD AT HOME AND ATTEND EACH DAY'S LESSON. AS SOON AS YOU BOOK, PLEASE REQUEST YOUR COPY OF THE TEXT BOOK SO THAT YOU CAN START STUDYING BEFORE THE COURSE.
An Anatomy & Physiology qualification is a pre-requisite for many other courses, therefore this course is essential if you wish to further your beauty therapy training.
