ObjectivesThe digital revolution has resulted in a widening of the number and types of organisations involved in communications. Whereas previously advertising was often confined to larger organisations in the commercial sector, the simultaneous presence of websites in particular has meant that most organisations, including those in the public sector, have to become far more professional in how they communicate with customers, the public and other stakeholders. Getting the right message across to the right people is fundamental to business success and those with expertise in marketing communications are always going to be in demand in areas such as advertising, PR, direct marketing, brand management, account management and marketing communications consultancy. This course will give you a core grounding in marketing whilst developing a marketing communications specialism and is of particular interest to professionals in the creative sector.
Entry requirementsEntry requirements You’ll need: -a good honours degree (minimum 2:2) from a recognised Higher Education institution or equivalent from a recognised overseas institution, or -have a qualification such as the Advanced Certificate in Marketing, a BTEC or HND and have three years management experience, or -have a GMAT score of 550 or equivalent test or qualification. -Non UK degrees must be listed on NARIC a recognised equivalent to UK honours degree. If English is not your first language, you will also need to demonstrate your English Language proficiency. For example, you should have either: -A minimum grade of 6.5 overall on the British Council International English Language Test (IELTS) -A TOEFL score of at least 600 (written scale) or 250 (computer scale)
