What do I need to get on the course?
You must satisfy the general entry criteria for A-level courses which are based on your GCSE results general entry requirements for AS-levels In addition, you need a minimum of grade B in Maths and a BB in the sciences.

Course descriptionWhat is this course about?
You will be able to study physics as it relates to the real world by exploring the relationship between physics and technology. Your course of study will be based around a course book for each of the two years. Through out, you will be doing varied practical work, developing your mathematical skills and tackling a range of concepts and ideas about the nature of the universe.
What will I study?
This modular course is based on the way that physics is applied in today`s technological world.
The course gives you a thorough theoretical knowledge of the subject which enables you to go on to study physics at degree level and an introduction to the many career areas that involve physics such as engineering, medicine, computing, electronics and a wide range of physics careers.

What qualification will I get? AS-Level Physics at the end of the first year of study. A-Level Physics after the second year.
What can I do after the course? Physics A-level is regarded very highly and you will be well prepared for university entrance on a wide range of degrees. Close to 80% of our A-level students progress to Higher Education. Alternatively, you could choose to enter employment.
