You are required to attend college for 1 day per month and complete portfolio activities related to your work.
What does it include?
You need to complete 6 units to achieve the full qualification.
There are 4 mandatory units. These are:
- Communicate with and complete records for individuals
- Support the health and safety of yourself and individuals
- Develop your knowledge and practice
- Ensure your own actions support the care, protection and well-being of individuals
You will select 2 optional units which relate to your specific area of practice.
What do I need to get on to it?
There are no formal entry requirements however you need to demonstrate a good standard of written and spoken English and maths.
To qualify for Train to Gain funding you need to be in work for a minimum of 16 hours per week, have residence status and employer support.
