Entry requirementsEntry requirements Entry is by audition, which takes place once a year, in the summer term. There are no specific entry requirements but places are limited. We accept people who show creative potential, enthusiasm, responsibility for learning and an ability to work as part of a team.
Course descriptionGeneral information
Greengoose Performing Arts is a Special Project for people with learning difficulties/disabilities interested in developing their creative skills. The course is full-time and runs on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9.30am - 3.30pm. There is also some participation in evening performances.
Course content
The programme consists of studying;
* Drama
* Music
* Movement
* Art
Students create and design annual performances incorporating their work. Students are involved in all aspects of the performance and take major responsibilities for choreography. We aim to work as an integrated, collective group and draw on each student's strengths, enabling participation to suit their ability. The group takes performances out into the community and also perform at special college events.
Teaching and assessment
Assessment is continuous and consists of collating material for a portfolio drawn from participation on the course, and includes video, CD and photographic evidence. The group are working towards the following qualification: LOCN - Greengoose Performing Arts - Entry Level and Level 1
