Course - Fashion and Textiles Foundation Degree

  • Entry requirements Who is this course for? This course is ideal for students who wish to develop careers in fashion and textiles, either progressing straight into employment or into the final year of advanced study. What do I need to get on the course? You must be aged 18 or over and have at least one of the following: # One appropriate A- Level subject or Advanced GNVQ level 3 or equivalent, together with supporting passes at GCSE grade C or above (must include English and Mathematics) Two AS levels will be considered as an appropriate A level. # A BTEC National Certificate/Diploma/Access course in appropriate subjects. # A qualification which the College and University accepts as being equivalent to any of the above. Applications are welcome from mature students (over 21) who may not have the minimum entry requirements, but have appropriate skills and knowledge, and some work experience. You should have English and Maths skills equivalent to GCSE level. Applicants with other equivalent qualifications are encouraged to apply as are applicants with experience of working in the industry. International applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis with equivalent qualifications being accepted.
  • Academic title On successful completion you will gain a Foundation Degree in Fashion and Textiles, awarded by London Metropolitan University. ,
  • Course description What is this course about?
    This innovative course equips you with the skills and knowledge relevant to the needs of the fast paced fashion industry. The programme is project, work and studio based, enabling you to explore and interpret themes as source material for the development of designs. The course is in partnership with London Metropolitan University.

    What will I study?
