    What does it include?
    Are you interested in learning about travel and tourism in a fun and practical way?
     
    This course offers you the chance to learn about one of the worlds largest and fastest growing industries. You will learn new skills that will help you find a job within the travel and tourism industry, and/or progress with you education.
     
    You will investigate the exciting travel and tourism industry through a series of practical units. Examples of units include:
     
    - Worldwide Travel and Tourism Destinations
    - Introduction to Retail Travel Services
    - Planning Itineraries for Travel and Tourism
    - Introduction to the UK travel Industry
     
    In each unit, you will spend time in the classroom, and go out on visits to attractions and to providers of travel and tourism services. You will also get the chance to meet with industry experts when they come to the college as guest speakers.
     
    To successfully complete the course you will complete a mixture of assignments and online multiple-choice tests.
     
    What do I need to get on to the course?
    There are no official entry requirements for the course. However, all applicants have to attend an interview and take the colleges initial assessment. The course leader will then advise you on the outcome of your application.
     
    Where does it lead?
    Further Education: On completion of this course, you could progress to the Level Two BTEC First Diploma in Travel and Tourism, which is equivalent to four GCSEs at grades A-C.
     
    Employment: On completion of this course, you could enter employment within the travel and tourism industry. Typical roles include Junior Travel Consultants within Travel Agents, numerous roles within hotels including reception and reservations, airline cabin crew (18+ years-old) and reservation roles within tour operations.
