Entry requirementsWho is this course for? The course is for young people aged 16-18, who have a passion and talent for music performance and production. What do I need to get on the course? # 4 GCSEs at grade A*-C including English language, # BTEC First Diploma in a related subject at merit or distinction and key skills at Level 2 # . You will have an audition on your main study (instrument or voice). This will include an aural and comprehension test.

This course will give you the opportunity to develop as a musician / performer and gain an insight into how the music industry operates. The course covers all areas of popular / contemporary music performance and production

You study different aspects of popular / contemporary music, including:

# Instrumental / vocal lessons.
What can I do after the course?
You can go onto higher education at university or a specialist music college. Many students have progressed to a range of institutions including; Lancaster University, Goldsmiths and The University of Westminster. Many students also gain employment in the music or related industry. Previous students have performed / worked with and number of artists and companies including Basement Jaxxs, The Streets, Estelle and Soundbwoy Ent.
