Course - BTEC Level 2 First Diploma in Health & Social Care ( Adults)
Entry requirementsApplicants must be over 18 years of age and must display an interest in working in a Care environment at interview. You do not need any formal qualifications but must be able to make yourself understood when speaking English and have basic literacy and numeracy skills. All applicants will be asked to complete the Colleges Initial Assessment.
Course descriptionDuration of course:
This is a one year full time course. Students will be required to attend college for 2 days per week. There is also a mandatory work placement for 1 day per week (minimum).
Where does it lead?
This qualification is a route to employment and can lead to a range of level 3 courses or Access to University programmes.
What does it include?
This is a practical, work-related course made up of 3 core and 3 specialist units.
