Course - British Sign Language Level 1

  • Course description General information

    British Sign Language Level 1 is divided into three units. An internal exam accredited by CACDP takes place at the end of each unit (10 weeks). You reach Level 1 when you have passed  all three units (30 weeks).

    Course content

    Units included are:

    Unit 101

        *  
        * Numbers
        * Weather
        * Transport
        * Directions

    Unit 102

        * At home
        * People
        * Animals
        * Objects
        * Using numbers
        * Interests and activities
        * Weather

    Unit 103

        * Getting around
        * Exchanging information
        * Refreshments
        * Using numbers at school, college or work

    By tutor and accredited by CACDP at the end of each unit. You need all three units to progress on British Sign Language Level 2.

    Progression

    Once you have achieved 101, you progress to 102, and 103.  We are now starting 101 course and 102 that you can join if you have a little knowledge of BSL.
