Course descriptionGeneral information
This course is for complete beginners and for students who know a few phrases.
Course content
All four skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) will be practised. Cultural differences will be highlighted. Topics covered are negotiated with the students from the following list:
* Personal details including alphabet, numbers and jobs
* Talking about families
* Directions including geographical information
* Ordering food in a restaurant
* Shopping for food and/or souvenirs
* Booking into a hotel
* Telephone skills
* Buying a railway ticket
* Signs and notices
* Making appointments including telling the time
* Weather.
