Course descriptionCourse content:
This is a first level course in Art, Design and Media. It will introduce you to a range of specialist areas so that you can decide on your future career.
The course consists of 6 units: • Visual Language • Materials & Techniques • Exploring Others Work • Preparing for Employment • Working in Surface Design • Carrying out a project • You will learn about: • Painting & Drawing • Media Studies and Media Production • Graphic Design / IT • Fashion & Textiles • 3D Design • Photography & Animation • Health & Safety • The work of other artists, designers and crafts people. This course includes opportunities for Key skills in Information Technology, Literacy and Application of number.

The course is delivered in six weekly projects.

All students have access to Learning Centres at College Centres. This includes free Internet access.
Assessment:
Assessment is continous throughout the year.
