Course description
General information
The Hairdressing Apprenticeship is ideal for people aged from 16-65 who are employed in the hair industry. College attendance is on a day-release basis and assessment will take place in the workplace. Students are required to build a portfolio of evidence to prove their skills, understanding and knowledge of the subject. Training is provided through salon sessions, tutorials and classroom teaching.
On successful completion of this programme, you will be fully qualified to National Vocational Qualification Level 2 and could progress to the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Hairdressing.
Course content
In-house training will take place one day a week and regular assessments and reviews will occur in the workplace. Learners will work towards an NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing, Level 1 Keyskills in Application of Number and Communication, Health and Safety and Employers’ Rights and Responsibilities.
Progression
If you successfully complete the apprenticeship you could progress to the Advanced Apprenticeship in Hairdressing.
