One year and 3 months.
Part-time, two evenings a week.
Course commences September.
What does it include?
The AAT Membership Scheme and Examination are unit-based.
The course covers the following units:
-Contribution to the management of performance & enhancement of value
-Contribution to the planning and control of resources
-Managing systems & people in the accounting environment
-Drafting financial statements
What do I need to get onto it?
Applicants will need to be employed in an accounting environment and have one of the following: Completed the AAT Intermediate Competence Stage (NVQ Accounting Level 3).
A UK degree in Accounting, or a Part qualification in one of the AATs Sponsoring Bodies (precise details about this may be obtained from the AAT Education Department).
In certain circumstances part completion of the Intermediate Competence will enable entry onto the course (details available from the Maida Vale Centre).
Where does it lead?
Successful completion of the course leads to full membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians. The course also leads to enhanced career prospects and/or accounting qualifications e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA and CIPFA.
