Overview
In the global construction industry there is a very high level of demand for suitably qualified project managers. This course produces qualified project managers of the quality required by the UK and global construction industries, both in terms of their immediate ability to perform and their longer-term strategic potential. The course allows architects, engineers and other professionals to move into project management. For graduates with a first degree in a built environment subject it can provide a competitive edge in a fierce employment market. The immense diversity and career opportunities this affords are reflected in the structure and content of this course.
The course has a long pedigree and is now one of the largest MSc Construction Management (Project Management) programmes in the UK in terms of student numbers.
The course team continues to develop its strong links with the construction industry and employer feedback is central to the course development process. As evidence of its relevance to industry, the MSc is approved by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Graduates of the course are eligible for entry to the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence.
