Computing (MSc)

  • Objectives Offers knowledge and expertise to prepare you for academic research and for a variety of careers including programmer, software developer, technical consultant and business analyst.
  • Entry requirements Entry Requirements:
    The course is open to computer literate applicants who have at least a Second class Honours degree, or equivalent professional qualification/experience, in a subject other than Computing. Suitable for graduates in a discipline other than Computing.

  • Course description Course Description:
    In your first semester you will study core modules designed to introduce you to the discipline of Computing. Some further core modules will then ensure that you develop an appropriate breadth of knowledge, whilst the selection of three optional modules will allow you to explore in depth some areas of interest to you, possibly with a vocational bias. You will complete your course by undertaking a supervised individual project, which you will write up and submit as an 18-20,000 word dissertation.
