Objectives
The programme aims to develop technical skills and knowledge at an advanced level as well as the professional, analytical and management skills of students. In particular this programme aims to develop the specific subject specialism underpinned by the major research project in this area.

Entry requirements
This is for graduates of computer science or computer engineering who wish to develop specialist computer networks, including local area networks, wide area networks and associated infrastructure.

Course description
The programme has particular emphasis on network security, performance and administration. Options allow specialisation in particular aspects of network management.

Entry Requirements
A degree with at least second class honours in computer science, computer engineering or cognate discipline. Where English is not the first language a language qualification is required, such as IELTS scoring 6.0. Candidates without a first degree but with vocational and/or professional qualifications and/or experience (e.g. Chartered Engineer status) will be considered on an individual basis, subject to demonstrating the potential to succeed
