Entry requirementsYou will need to have a good knowledge of computer hardware and software, be competent in networking, be able to demonstrate that you understand the concepts of networking (e.g. hub, switch and router) and have an understanding of Windows. You should have a good level of literacy and numeracy. You will be required to undertake an initial assessment and interview. Anyone without these concepts should undertake our Introduction to Networking course first.

The Cisco CCNA network associate certification validates the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN. This new curriculum includes basic mitigation of security threats, introduction to wireless networking concepts and terminology, and performance-based skills.

These courses are run onsite at CONEL and at other offsite venues.
Assessment
Classroom based Assessment.
Course leads to CISCO CCNP or work in the networking field. You could gain employment as a Network Engineer or Senior Network Engineer.
